I have spent two nights at the Golden Moon Hotel, once during July 2013 and once in December 2016. I'm guessing that they remodeled the Golden Moons hotel rooms over the last three years, but I like the rooms better during my stay in 2013 than I did this time around. Granted I may have received an unknown upgrade in 2013 vs 2016 and that maybe the difference in my room as the bathroom/ restroom in the 2016 room was very different from my last stay in 2013. Overall the bed and room was comfortable. The hotel at the Golden Moon would be a 4 Star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ in my opinion. The valet parking was very good and friendly, from my arrival to my departure. My gaming experience: The casino part I would have to rate as a 2 ⭐️⭐️ out of 5 . I know they remodeled both the star and moon last year, but they have way entirely to many digital games and not enough traditional slot machines like they once had. Some people may love playing willie wonka's 3D slots but not me. Then they went nuts bringing in multiple Wheel Of Fourturne games and did away with the traditional ones that everyone enjoyed playing and watching the spins. Now you'll find a digital one that's probably controlled by an upstairs computer
The room was beautiful, the front desk supervisor was rude and inattentive. The casino didn't have most table games open and had to travel to silver star for roulette. Housekeeping entered our room even with a do not disturb sign in the door. All but one pool was open and that pool was at the silver star. Had to constantly travel to the other casino to use the pool. I was surprised at all the gift shops that were no longer there and how vacant the casino was. I don't know if I will be returning. I left messages to the appropriate people to alert them of the attitudes of the staff at the Golden Moon. No one returned any of my calls.
Have stayed here 3 times, years apart. This last time service was a lot better and the rooms were a lot cleaner.
Hotel was great, and the cost was great. Beautiful from the outside. The rooms were nice, spacious, and the casino was to. But... All the staff, from the front desk to the security were horrible. They were rude at check in desk, gave no direction about the facility, and when asked questions they all acted as if you were troubling them. I've been to casinos all across the country that welcome you in with smiles, and a happy feeling. This is not one of those places. Not very welcoming, or appreciative that we came to spend money here. Maybe they had a bad day, but that's not the way to get people to come back and play.
Bistro 24 lacks in customer service skills. Food has been good there.
